Dates for the 2024-2025 School Year
July 4, 2024 – Independence Day
The district observes Independence Day with a holiday. Schools and offices will be closed as families celebrate this important national holiday.July 24-30, 2024 – Staff Development
Before the school year begins, teachers and staff participate in a week of training and development. This preparation ensures they are ready to provide high-quality instruction and support for students.July 31, 2024 – First Day for Students
The academic year officially begins for all students. It’s a fresh start with new goals and experiences awaiting in every classroom.September 2, 2024 – Labor Day
Schools and offices will be closed in observance of Labor Day, giving students and staff a well-deserved break early in the school year.October 7-8, 2024 – Inclement Weather Makeup Days
These days are set aside to make up for any days missed due to severe weather. If no makeup days are needed, students may enjoy these as regular days off.October 31, 2024 – Early Dismissal and Professional Development
Students have an early dismissal while teachers participate in professional development sessions, improving instructional methods and planning.November 25-29, 2024 – Thanksgiving Holiday
Schools will be closed for the Thanksgiving break, allowing families to spend time together and celebrate the holiday. Offices will also be closed November 27-29.December 23-31, 2024 – Winter Break
The winter holiday break begins, and students, teachers, and staff have time off to relax and celebrate with family and friends.January 1-3, 2025 – Continuation of Winter Break
The winter break continues into the New Year. School resumes for staff on January 6 and for students on January 7.January 6, 2025 – Staff In-Service Day
Staff return from winter break for an in-service day to prepare for the second half of the school year, ensuring a smooth transition back to learning.January 7, 2025 – Students Return to School
The second half of the school year begins, and students return refreshed and ready to learn after the winter break.January 20, 2025 – Martin Luther King Jr. Day
Schools and offices are closed to honor the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., a day of reflection and community involvement for many.February 21, 2025 – Early Dismissal and Professional Development
Another early dismissal for students allows teachers to engage in professional development to further enhance their teaching strategies.March 21, 2025 – End of the Third Nine Weeks
The third grading period ends, marking a milestone in the academic calendar. Report cards will be sent home soon after.April 21-25, 2025 – Spring Break
A week-long spring break offers students and staff time to recharge before the final stretch of the school year.May 26, 2025 – Memorial Day
Schools and offices will be closed in observance of Memorial Day, honoring the men and women who have served in the military.June 3, 2025 – Last Day of School for Students
The last day of school for students is here! Students celebrate the end of another year of learning, growth, and achievements.June 30, 2025 – Report Cards Mailed Home
Final report cards are mailed home, giving parents and students a comprehensive look at the year’s academic progress and accomplishments.
